Los Angeles is finally getting its very own NFL team, and it looks like the team’s stadium is going to be one of the greenest in the country. The stadium is called Farmers Field, and according to AEG, one of the largest sports and entertainment companies in the world, it’s not only going to boost L.A.’s economy and business, but it will also be “the most environmentally friendly stadium in the United States.”
AEG, which already operates eco-friendly stadiums and arenas around the world, has partnered with the U.S. Green Building Council and the National Resources Defense Council to make Farmers Field a LEED certified NFL stadium. It would be the first ever LEED certified NFL stadium in the country.
Take a look at how the stadium plans to go green:

AEG has already invested $1 billion to build the 72,000 seat stadium. The goal is to have the stadium up and running in downtown Los Angeles by 2015.
