This interesting wedding dress was designed by British artist Susie MacMurray and is made from 1400 rubber gloves that have been turned inside-out.
This timeless dress has a special story behind it. World War II B-29 pilot Major Claude Hensinger was forced to jump from his plane when the engine caught fire during a bombing raid over Yowata, Japan in 1944. Luckily he was rescued from the Chinese the next day. Hensinger will never forget how his parachute saved his life. His wife Ruth later used the parachute as material for her wedding gown when they were married in 1947.
